Since so long, I have been following a Quora thread that has a large amount of answers and resources that are useful for everyone in the SEO Industry. SEO Newbie, Mid-level SEO or SEO Consultant – I believe that everyone can benefit from the resources shared and the discussion happened (happening) over there.

To make all the resources easily reachable, I spent some time behind gathering all the links/places that we all can utilize, learn and can grow our knowledge.

Before you go through all the resources given below, it’s mandatory for everyone to go through Google’s official quality webmaster guidelines and follow all the things mentioned in there.

Best SEO Books

All the following books are highly recommended by the folks at Quora. They are written by well known SEO Industry leaders and are being read by many SEO Professionals since many years. Out of all the given books below, The Art of SEO & Search Engine Optimization Secrets are my favorites. Both of them cover really insightful information that is helping in many ways.

The Art of SEO” by Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer, Rand Fishkin, and Jessie Stricchiolia

The Truth About Search Engine Optimization” by Rebecca Lieb – ISBN 0789738317 (SEO for beginners)

Search Engine Optimization Secrets” by Danny Dover – ISBN 0470554185

SEO Warrior” by John I. Jerkovic – O’Reilly Media, ISBN-10: 059615707X

Best SEO Guides

There are many SEO Guides available on the web prepared by experienced SEOs and are being recognized well. BUT following guides are publically appreciated and which I have found often recommended on Quora, especially SEOmoz’s Beginners’ Guide to SEO.

Best SEO Blogs

If you are looking for the resources by reading which you can improve your SEO knowledge as well as stay up-to-date with the happenings in the SEO Industry, then following are the blogs you want to read.

Best Video Channels to learn SEO

Don’t want to do a lot of reading? Here’s the solution. You can learn and improve SEO by watching videos as well. ‘Whiteboard Friday’ videos by SEOmoz are highly recommended to get started. Start with this page and spend some time to watch the videos that interest you. Also, Google’s Youtube Channel is the next you want to go through. There are some cool videos that will help you learn quickly. (Short videos)

SEO Search Ranking Factors

Knowing the latest SEO Search Ranking Factors is the primary thing you need to learn when optimizing websites for your client or company. By going through following two links will help you knowing current ranking trends.

Best SEO Forums to Participate

If you will do a Google search using a query “SEO Forums”, you will come across tons of SEO forums BUT following 4 places will help you being an SEO Professional. Being part of advanced level SEO discussions and gaining knowledge from the places where renowned SEO Consultants share their advice would help more.

Best SEO Online Courses

You can learn SEO from leading industry SEO experts by using their online training courses program. I found DistilledU program affordable and have recently joined to experience and advance my skills the Distilled way.

SEO Glossary – Learn Technical SEO Jargons

When learning SEO through any platform/guide/resource, you will come across to such SEO jargon words which would be unknown for you and difficult to understand. Following links will help you understanding the actual meaning of all those tough and new words you come across.

I have limited this list of resources to learning SEO process and how it works. While going through the research for all these resources I came across to some posts that will help you to learn Link Building (which is a part of SEO) in detail and I’d like to share all those resources for your reference.

One of my online friends Jon Cooper writes great posts on his blog PointBlankSEO where he shares his knowledge and various new link building ideas as well as provides great resources as well. Following are two of Jon’s great posts that will help you out.

To catch up with more detailed post on link building, I’d recommend you visiting one of the recent Kissmetrics blog post by Kristi Hines79 Link Building Resources for 2012
